| Yikes, I thot I must have clicked on an out-of-date page, but no joke. Snow possible in the northern northeast.
winds, power outages, oh goodie. "Heavy rains and snow will soon pound the eastern United States, possibly leading to downed trees, power outages and flight delays as a low pressure system from the Gulf of Mexico moves through the region, meteorologists said on Saturday. Intense precipitation from the Nor'easter storm will start on Sunday, with two to four inches of downpour expected along the Mid-Atlantic Coast, which will make for soggy conditions in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C" time to batten down the containers. |

| Our forecast says 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow with a high of only 34. I haven't planted out yet so hopefully I can save the majority of my containers. |

| Parts of Pa. are supposed to get 12-18" of snow! In late April, Ack! There's a freeze warning just to the north and west of me, but thankfully, no snow. Pittsburgh is supposed to get 4-6" of snow. Makes me pretty glad I moved from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati :-) Karen |

| Here on Long Island we are getting rain, it's needed desperatly, we have been in a drought and the soil is so dry. The amount of rain that is expected will probably cause some flooding, but thankfully the temps are in the 50's so we will not be getting snow. :) |

| I'm like bring it on! It was so dry here! |
|
| It's raining here now, and I moved a few of my containers under the back steps so they will get some heat by the dryer vent when the snow gets here. Keeping my fingers crossed that they'll be okay as with everyone else's sprouts! Brad AKA Moonwolf |

| doubleAmom, yes wet snow is damaging. It was so sad when we had an early snow here in Oct, and many of the trees still had leaves, and the snow broke many limbs and caused trees to fall. hope you don't have too much damage. we had some badly-needed rain, I haven't been outside yet to survey for any damage. I saw what looked like flakes last evening, but I think I was imagining it, or it was some flowering tree petals; it wasn't cold enough for snow. |
