| This bee wouldn't slow down to get his picture taken - so here's a wonderful artsy portrait of his backside!

Lynda- What kind of camera do you have? I have a cannon, I think its a powershot. Its not a point and shoot but a larger camera, like a SLR but not. Anyway, my dad, uncle, sister all have the SLR and photos like yours make me want a SLR oh so badly.

What a cute picture! I feel the same as you, bookjunky, I have a ten year old Sony Mavica and seeing all these pictures from everybody with newer cameras has me jealous. Mine has a whopping four megapixels and the colors just don't show true to life. I want a new camera so badly. I'm tired of the crappy Mavica (but it was free, given to us by my boyfriend's mother four years ago). I just want a simple point and shoot versus an SLR, though those would be nice. Anything is better than the dinosaur I have now. Karen

It's not all the camera that you are seeing there - I do some fancy post processing to get a kind glowing art look. A good handy camera is part of it, though. My main camera is a Nikon Coolpix P100. You can check the link below for an article where I explained why I like that particular camera for use in the garden. I'm also really hooked on the Coolpix for slow motion garden video. A lot of my In Bloom This Week articles include videos I shot with that camera. It's really good for when the wind is blowing and there is not way to get a decent still shot. :) Lynda

Here's a link to video shot with that same camera. I like the way slow motion hides camera shakes and wobbles! :)
