another cool map - soil temperature

Since it is going down to 30's tonite (after being 70 two days ago!) I thot to research lobelia to see if I should cover sprouts. That lead me to learn that lobelia likes soil temperature over 59 dgrees (for transplanting).
Then I wondered how do I know what the soil temperature is?

Now, all this is unnecessary bec. I have gazillions of sprouts, and, as we know, WS sprouts are hardier, so the usual restrictions probably don't apply.

But I like this cool map, and I was surprised to see that my garden soil is already between 55 and 60.

enjoy - if you're into these things. :)
