Planted out tomato sprouts

I've been planting out HOS of my perennial flowers, and I've also planted out my HOS leaf lettuce and 48 cauliflowers; all of which are doing nicely so far.

Yesterday I checked my veggie gallon jugs and found many tomato sprouts. One jug of beafsteak I obviously sowed way too thick. I could have gotten 50 tomatoes out of that one jug if I'd planted every sprout. I planted the 14 biggest ones and tossed the rest, because I have several more jugs of that variety coming. I ended up planting out 33 tomato sprouts. I cut the bottoms out of liter soda jugs and a few half gallon milk jugs and placed those over the seedling and plant marker. Trudi's website says to use small water bottles, so I hope I haven't messed up by using the larger bottles? Am I too early for my zone to be planting out tomatoes? I have close to an acre or so of garden tilled up and I'm already running out of room!
