| I apologize if this has been asked and answered previously - a search brings up too many results of general conversations.
This year I ws'd a whole bunch of old seed that I purchased a few years ago from Valueseed. I'm actually quite surprised at the great germination rates I'm getting - probably because they were packed in foil. Anyway, the Lobelia doesn't seem to be germinating, and I really would like to have some this year. Is it too late to make ws'ing worthwhile, or should I just purchase some at the nursery? Thanks in advance! |

| I'm no expert but I think it's too early to give up on lobelia. Mine was WS on 12/26 and I have NO sprouts yet in any of my containers. My 2010 garden notes say it didn't sprout last year until May 11. It's certainly not the only seed type that hasn't sprouted for me yet altho' I discover more sprouts every day. My Russian sage sprouted yesterday--I harvested the seeds myself so I'm pretty excited about those. |
