Totally cool Lynda! From what I understand, there is quite a genetic variation in fruit tree seedlings. Perhaps you will get an interesting variety in there!

I ws'd Flowering Dogwood seeds last year, ended up with 2 very healthy little 8-10 inch baby trees. I sunk them into the ground in the back garden to overwinter, and wouldn't you know some pesky deer nipped the tops off! How on earth do they find 2 tiny naked tree seedlings in the whole back yard that was mostly covered by feet of snow all winter??? They are still leafing out though.

Great job!! I'm growing both apple and pear trees this year for a neighbor. I potted up two of the ten pear tree seedlings yesterday since they were sending out their second set of leaves. The apples are just slightly behind in terms of growth so far. Last year I grew kousa dogwood trees via winter sowing. The 12-inch tall trees are already leafing out this year.

Speaking of growing trees with Wintersowing, I have quote a few Redwood sprouts and two types of arborvitae growing. I probably need to get some pots and pot them up.

I started some red and green fuji apple seeds from the grocery store last year. They are just starting to make some leaves for me. : )
