? re my pic of lavendar--

someone I gave some to says they look like lettuce! They do, but unless I hallucinated, I'm sure I sowed lavendar. :)

I can't find an image of lavendar seedling on line.
not one good enough that I can compare.

if anyone has an image, or if you take another look at the pic - pls let me know what you think. I can let them grow up and see, but I've promised so many to people!

I don't want to give them lettuce instead of lavender. :)

thanks

If they are lavender they should already smell like lavender if rubbed. Can you sacrifice one and see if it has a scent?

thanks, those are beautiful pics. Unfortunately, as my lavendar matures it is looking more and more like lettuce!
And I sowed it twice!
And I offered it as lavendar!
sigh
I really would prefer lavendar to lettuce, and I can not figure out how this happened...

thanks for the suggestion, I never thot of smelling it, I will try that.

Yes, lavender seedlings have needle-like leaves and should be very fragrant when slightly rubbed....if they are broad in any way, they are not lavender!
I'm sure the mistake will be forgiven :)
