Karen,
yuck!
It is a little cool here, but not that bad. Yesterday it was around 50 and supposed to stay in the 60's today which actually is pretty nice.
Last night I actually put the heat on for a little bit, unusual for May.

Hope you get the heat soon.

I expect that we will skip spring this year, probably go right into 90 degrees, :<

I kept my pepper plants in yesterday b/c it has been so cold. Just checked the temp a half hour ago, 40 degrees.

Weather.com says temp is up to 37 now, but thick, heavy frost is visible now that the sun is up. In places the frost is so think it looks like snow.

Highest today 51. Can't go below 50 for hot peppers. Meh.

RE: Frost advisory

We had a frost advisory too, but no frost here. Currently it's 40 outside. I have to go move my plants that are in the garage back outside before I leave for work.

RE: Frost advisory

It's 41 here with a little cloud cover. I went out and everything looks fine including potted-up salvia, lupine and a couple others. Blackberry lily, columbine and maiden grass finally germinated but still no sign of lady's mantle, helenium or armeria. I know they'll sprout eventually once it gets a little warmer...July maybe?
