Transplanted 4-6" bachelor buttons 4 1/2 days ago. They just flopped over and are still that way. Do I cut them back to 1-2" or what can I do?

Bachelor buttons are very easy to grow. No need to ws them. I have volunteers from last year's plants. If you harvested them last year, you can direct sow the seeds around mid march to early april since you're in z4. My bachelor button volunteers laughed at our 30-32F the other night. Last year, I transplanted 3" tall volunteers but I made it sure that I dug the rootball big enough. Didn't have any issues.

BBs like cold, and they overwinter as seedlings here. I was thinking maybe transplanting into full sun in warm temps might be making them pout. In that case, shading from sun for a day or two might help. Karen
