| Has anyone cut them down before bud to see if it keeps them from getting gangly? I do it to my shastas, but I wonder if Maltese Cross will bush up as well, or if I'm just shooting myself in the foot. |

| Good question. I'll be interested in the answer too--every time it rains, my WS Maltese cross flop every which way. Might be one reason why they're not listed on many "favorite perennials" lists. I've got several clumps from last year's WS that should bloom this year. I will not be impressed if the blooms flop too. |
