| It's because it's the area where I had the petunia laura bush last year. I have another PLB on a different location and have the same volunteers. Thanks.

| Hmmm... I'm not sure but they're certainly in the appropriate number. I hoed out a bunch yesterday, so I should recognize them, but I don't. I think the texture on yours is different from a petunia. What else did you have planted there last year? I had so many volunteers that I've added it to my sh*t list- things that I can't grow any more due to massive reseeding. Karen |

| Could they be borage or comfrey? |

| It looks like Inula Goliath but there is another one that's far from inula goliath. I also have a petunia laura bush on that site. |

| They aren't petunia seedlings. Inula is a better guess ... |

| Ok, I might have to put mulch over them or Round Up them then. Thanks. |

| I visited the area again. It's weird that I don't see any seedlings around the base of Inula Goliath(5 ft radius). |

Hey Neil, is there a reason why you waht to pull them, why not just let them grow, you can always yank them if they are not what you want.Just a thought. cAROL |

| I love it but I didn't know that it was a crazy reseeder. The leaves are 2 ft long. New leaves of inula goliath have some touch of red. Will have to wait another few weeks to make sure. :) I'll keep you posted. |
