The kiss of the rain for pardon...

Guess I should count my blessings that some things do well in cold, soggy, dreary, wet weather like we're having here in the northeast. Others...well, not so much. I took the camera out yesterday to see what was blooming in spite of the cold rain. There are plump buds on the peonies that the ants are actively working, the iris have bulging buds along their stems and there are buds on a few clematis. Have a look at what has popped so far...

Very Pretty! You got alot blooming. My Rhododendron is in full bloom. A 'Tiger Swallowtail' was flitting around it. My roses are starting to bud out.

Gardenweed, thank you so much for sharing. They are all lovely.

I am disappointed my Lady's Mantle didnt germinate. I love the water drops on it :)

How old are the lupines? They are so lush and full. Looking forward to when mine bloom.

Eileen, what is the name of those red lupines? Never knew they come in that color. Beauties..I thought I had some of the seeds for that same columbine, but guess I must have given them away to either the seamtress that was here admiring mine out front in the bed or my gardening friend.
