How lovely. And I see you have more buds waiting to greet you!! When did you winter sow these? I have been having a hard time getting Nasties to germinate in recent years, although I have grown them in the past. I winter sowed some, they are still in their container with no signs of germinating, and I spring sowed some and there is also nothing there. I can't seem to get a definitive method for success with them. They fill in so many spots nicely.

Gotta love those nasties!I love that one (so pretty) and will have to try it. I've got an area of "Alaska" that I plant every year (DS) and I've got plenty of leaves but no blooms yet. I did up a nice pot of "Mahogany" but, again, no blooms yet. But there are coming, fingers crossed.

I got store bought seeds. Last year. I sowed directly into 2 hanging baskets on 22 march. I taped plastic wrap on top on the baskets. Right when I had sproutage, I got the hangar hook hooked on my clothes and dumped both pots. After cursing loudly, I did my best to put the soil back in the pots then moved both pots to the hangar hooks on the sides of my clothesline. Around 1 may I removed the plastic wrap.

In the past I have bought nasturtiums at the garden center but have had lousy luck transplanting. This was my 1st year ws'ing. So it was an experiment. A successful one!

Beautiful color. I WS some Empress of India this year and transplanted early to baskets and they've been blooming for a few weeks. I also direct sowed some in the same planters. They're up but won't bloom till July -- the package says 60 days. I've had trouble transplanting nasturtium in the past.
