Salvia Farinacea news!!!

last year, I posted a picture of a Salvia plant and someone here identified it as Farinacea. She told me also that if I don't cut the plant and put thick mulch, it might come back in zone 5a. I followed here instructions. Guess what, it's back!!! :)

Congrats!! That is one plant that is a must grow in my yard.

I have a clump by my mailbox and since I rent management has hired mowers. Well they hired a new guy this year and he weed eated my salvia victoria and salvia blue bedder. Well after closer examination I found a few reseeeds of my victoria hidden in my grass. Talk about a close call. I guess I will have to talk with the new guy. My blue bedder was already a foot tall with buds!! Ugh!

the same thing happened with my friend an dher strawberries. They came back.
