Looking for suggestions for winter gardening

I live in Northern New Jersey which is zone 6. I was wondering if anyone knows what types of flowers will grow in my climate during the winter? I appreciate the help. Thank you.

I don't know if any flowers will grow in your area during winter. That's not really what we do here. We plant seeds in winter in plastic containers and then set them outdoors to sprout in spring when time is right. The containers act like little greenhouses and are good at germinating seeds. It's a very easy and efficient way to produce plants for our spring/summer gardens.

Well I've heard there are a few in this zone that can. If that's not what this section is about, can you direct me to one that will talk about it in detail?

I think you want the forum just above this one called winter gardens, not wintersowing.
