Paula, how do you like those new petunias? I haven't bought any petunias this year yet. Two years ago I bought PW supertunia bubble gum pink and they were the best I've ever had in a lot of years. I tried PW Raspberry blast last year and they were not up to my standards..Those you have really look like velvet, don't they? I saw some beautiful red ones at a nursery with my friend and all their annuals were marked down 40%, I got a six pack of solid pink portulaca, while she got some dwarf zinnia or maybe they were gazanias and one or two beautiful red petunias.

Every since then that color of red petunias has been in my mind. I might just give in and try to find them again for myself.

Just lovely! I see you are a petunia lover too - are those black ones the 'Black Velvet'? I saw them this year and wanted to get them, but never got around to buying.

    Thanks for the show!

Beautiful flowers! Thanks for brightening up my rainy, cold morning. How did you finally get the calla lilies to bloom. I have dug mine up for three years...lots of leaves but no flowers yet.

On the calla lilies I bought some dead past their time plants from the grocery store 2 years ago and so I of course saved the bulbs and planted them last year. And they only had leaves so then I planted them this year and I think those are the ones which bloomed. Because I also got some seeds from a trade and I planted those as well and so I ended up with some very small bulbs this was 2 years ago as well and so I also planted them. I am thinking they just need to build up in size and then they will bloom sort of like tulip bulblets except these have to be dug up each year.
