A Nice Surprise

In 2009 I winter sowed two different packs of lily seeds I received in seed swaps. I only had one sprout in each milk jug. I saw in the morning I had a bud on one of the lilies. It looked like it would bloom yellow or gold. This is what I found last evening. Excuse the pea vines. With all our rain I have a jungle.

| That is a lovely daylily. I am partial to the ones that are ruffled. |

| I have lots of daylilies, but have never tried wintersowing them. That one sure looks like it was worth the wait though! One of my favorite colors. |
