How much does your refrigerator warm up during the night when turned off? The seeds that need the moist chill will respond to temps between about 35-43F.

But, the alpine strawberries could very well germinate if given cool, but warmer temps than that - in the range of 55-60F is often cool enough for those. The lavender may even germinate without a chill. But what I'm wondering, would your climate support either of these plants if they did germinate?

I'm not sure if alpine strawberry will grow well because i never grow them before (my first time grow alpine strawberry).the seller said that they will grow with an extra care i'm not sure about that.
And for lavender i've grown them once and covered them with plastic. At first they did well. Then die because of rain (and humidity increase).my main problem on growing lavender is humidity. Need to find place with lower humidity. Species : lavandula angustifolia munstead. Now i want to try italian lavender hope this time they will grow well ^^
