Petunia question

| Ok I ws a ton of petunias this year and like last year I have had a few petunias with huge leaves but they have not flowered yet. The huge leaf plants at least. My "normal" if there is such a thing petunias have already started blooming. They were all treated the same, same jug same water time line and so fourth. I am 98% sure they are petunias but an untrained eye would think they were nicotiana.
Has anyone else come across this strange petunia thing. Thanks

| Do you know what those petunias were called? How about a picture? Some petunias might have bigger leaves than others but I've not seen any which I'd describe as "huge" leaves. Are you feeding them some high test nitrogen? N can give bigger leaves, larger plant size at the expense of blossoms in some plants, though I don't know if that's true of petunias. Karen |

| Here is a pic of a planter I have other planters with both types of petunias together. The big leaf and the normal size leaf.

| wow those are big leaves. I wish I had an answer. i would love to see them when they bloom. If they are petunias I wonder what made the leaves so big? I planted out a bunch of petunias and most did not survive except one hos in the ground and the ones I planted in 3 pots. the rest croaked! Karen |

| They look like nicotiana to me. I think only the small leaf ones are petunia. Karen |

| I agree...those look like Nicotiana in my opinion. |

| Those leaves do not look like Petunia leaves to me. I planted lots of Petunias this year and the variety with larger leaves bloomed first. I'm sure you have something else there. |
