Refrigeration question

Winter 2009-2010 was my first time trying winter sowing and I was converted! Last winter I was so sick I did not do it, but that problem is now mostly behind me and I am making plans to winter sow in a big way this next winter.

To get the seeds I want, I am having to buy them now. Should I refrigerate them, and should I do so in the "cool" part of the refrigerator or the freezer? Thanks in advance for advice to a newbie. If it matters, I am in northern Alabama.

Right now it is raining and 69 degrees. A very pleasant change - the last 22 days, the high was over 90 and we had had only 2 rains!
