Kqcrna, I was talking to you, lol! I couldn't remember your gardenweb id.

Remember last year we were talking about gailardia or blanket flower how long it bloomed and you asked if they come true. Well I knew my burgundy came true but I wasn't for sure about the aristata and the painter's palette. Well the aristata does come true. This is just the first bloom of the painter's palette. It hasn't reverted but also that was one weird plant with so many different blooms. Some were solid yellow when some looked like the picture above then others looked like the burgundy and then some looked like aristata, all on the same plant.

I am kinda eager to find out if it comes true also, and if that wasn't you then I might just be off my rocker, LOL. Wouldn't be the first time!! LOL

One thing I've found with saved gaillardia seeds- they tended to grow blossoms that looked like the parent plant. But the overall size and form of the plant was "off"
Seeds from goblin (nice small mounded plant) produced flowers like the parent but the plant was huge-tall and wide, flopped everywhere.
Burgundy produced flowers that looked like the parent, but again the plant was huge- tall, wide, floppy.
