I hope everyone is having a fabulous wintersown season of flowers. Here are a few blooms I took this morning before heading to work.

Purple Poppy-may be a Lauren's Grape?

    Pretty blooms, ladygladys.

I love Lauren's Grape poppies and see some self sown seedlings in my beds. Sometimes the self sown ones are washed out purple but many come true.

Wish I had better results with CA poppies. I'm trying again this year but only a couple germinated. Yours look robust.

Gorgeous. Don't you love it when they bloom? It makes it all worthwhile.

Love that purple poppy!! Such a striking color. Good job!

It took me years, yes years, to get poppies to germinate. Finally started them in a pot outside covered with saran wrap (and a few holes) in part sun until they germinated, then transplanted out. I think slugs had been eating them or...maybe I couldn't keep them watered.
Sometimes my oriental poppy will mold and get slimy with too much rain/humidity.
