Blackberry lily question

I've had a slowly growing area of beautiful balckbery lilies, WS'ed in 2008 or 9 I think and I love them. This year they seem to be going very quickly to seed - probably the heat. If you have ever grown them you know that the seed pods are huge and must take a lot of energy from the plant to produce.

So my question is - - If i deadhead the seed pods (or at least soem of them - I do want SOME seed :)) will the plant put the energy into producing more flowers? i've not a lot of experience with the habits of lilies. Will they keep going for a while if deadheaded? If it won't really help then I don't want to spill the unripe seed on the ground and waste it!
