Best flowers for public garden?

Posted by lois PA Zone 6 (My Page) on

My garden club maintains the flower garden at the village library. It will be my turn to be in charge of ot next year. Can anyone suggest some low maintenance flowers for the garden that like sun and can withstand some dry conditions? We already have zinnia, cosmo, feverfew, larkspur, and viola/pansy.

Thanks!

Stella d'oro is a great one for the front of borders. Also, Agastache is long blooming (very long!) no maintenance, and drought tolerant. It's great for the middle to te back of beds. Good luck! Post pics for us!!

instead of stella d'oro say lily, try happy returns. blooms same as stella does with repeat blooms, but is a much prettier yellow, softer yellow and flowers do look like full size daylily blooms.
