Yes, rabbits DO EAT Yarrow....

Okay...at least that's one plant that needed cutting back - thanks bunny...

I have four rabbits in my garden. Everytime I spray with Liquid Fence, it rains!

Has anyone thought of any new remedies to keep them away. I've tried soap, bone meal, blood meal etc. and they keep coming back.

Thanks everyone

Carrie

Two years ago I bought plastic chicken wire and used it with bamboo stakes to fashion a cage around my white swan Echinacea because they ate all but the stems. Last year a family of red foxes moved in so it was goodbye bunnies. This year the foxes are in the neighborhood still so there are no bunnies. I hope the foxes stick around a
l-o-o-n-n-g time.

Carrie..Roppel makes a product for small critters such as rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, etc. that is pretty good. We had Bambi to visit a few nights ago, and she slipped through an opening in the shrubbery between our breezeway and our next door neighbor and took out a beautiful hibiscus plant and several other potted plants. We have only seen one rabbit since we have lived here 6 yrs. but the Bambi and friends are plentiful! We are wondering if the deer were the two little ones that are running around here. I just don't think an adult deer could fit through the space that was in that shrubbery.

I have used green wire cages for some special plants/perennials/annuals I cherish, even spray them with liquid fence etc. but NEVER knew rabbits ate yarrow.

I haven't posted in a good bit but anyone who has seen my extensive gardens knows how big my gardens are - and there is plenty to choose from - yet this rabbit walks right over to the very plant this is on the list of plants rabbits don't eat! :0)

Hey, now that will get sprayed!
