WS works and I have proof!

This was my second year wintersowing and I have had so much success that I think I might just get rid of my little plastic greenhouse :0) Here's my proof:

The dark leaved dahlias, the purple nicotiana, nasturtiums, agastache (not flowering yet) and the lime colored foliage you see at the right is agastache golden jubilee as well as the poppy (I have only pods left) were all WS

Here the rudbeckias, agastache golden jubilee and the yarrow were also WS. The agastache is very floppy so it will have to be pulled and replaced with something else.

This is a new bed that was just begun in mid april.

this is the same bed earlier this month.

Just beautiful! I used my little plastic greenhouse to WS seeds and cups...just one big container!

Everything looks wonderful! I especially love the new bed, even though it looks like you actually put some grass back in!!! :)
Do you have a bigger photo of it that you can post?

I checked out your photo album, where is that mess you warned about? It all looks great. Do you get basketballs bouncing through your gardens sometimes, though? And, the little photos that show the greenhouse sitting on brown ground (dirt/mulch)--is that from before your gardens were put in, or is that another area of the yard?

I have some Golden Jubilee starting its 2nd year, I hope it won't be floppy for me too. I have one of the standard green ones (foeniculum, prolly) and it's very sturdy, even in part shade.

Thanks for sharing the great photos!

Don't pull the agastache. Pinch it or chop it. It will regrow and rebloom. I started pinching mine in late March.

So go out, cut it back by half and it will rebloom this year.

Photos are magnificent! Love the butterfly and hummingbird

token - your agastache looks so good - mine is way too tall - live and learn..

(You are such a good "pincher"... :0)...)

That's one plant in that picture. I do have some babies here and there from reseeding. :)

Speaking of which, I need to cut my own agastache in the backyard tomorrow.
