| Yeah!!! Just spotted my first fruits this a.m. on Brandywine and Tiger-Like :)
La_Rossa Paste is loaded in flowers but no development of fruits. Wisconsin 55 and Zapoltec Pleated are barely just starting to flower and Black Cherry forming first set of flowers. |

| Yesterday I finally noticed a couple of little tomatoes my self. It seems this has been a slow year in the veggie garden, while the flowers went crazy. |

| About half of my tomato plants have little baby tomatoes on them, and the other half are starting to flower. Our temps this week have been in the upper 90's though, so not sure if I'll get any fruit set on the new blossoms. My boys have enjoyed checking each plant for tiny tomatoes, and snatching any ripes peas off the vine while we're out there, LOL. Bonnie |

| vjhale - it's just the opposite for me this year. The veggies are doing great and the flowers only so-so. I had my first romaine salad for dinner tonight! Now, if the toms had been ripe ... Vera - I *finally* got my Black Cherry planted out on June 29. It's growing great, but no flowers yet. Hope I do see some before frost ... PV |

| Nice!!! I wanted to come back and share too that I missed a few fruits on the La Rossa Paste :)) I was too worried about losing all of them in the 35-40 mph sustained winds with at least 50 mph gusts!!! This lasted ALL early afternoon thru around 8pm. By mid-afternoon there were upwards of 60 wildfires due to downed power lines in Eastern WA and Idaho. The closest and largest one to us was in the Spokane Valley (Dishman-Mica) area with 8 homes lost; it was declared a State of Emergency and we were able to get crews to come in from all parts of the state to help contain it. The tomatoes all did make it but I had to pick up my container grown Wisconsin 55 a few times. The 2nd time I did that I finally just moved them (plus all the peppers) over to the east side of the house where it was more protected. Spent quit a bit of time pruning back Coreopsis lanceolata, Maltese X and poppies that were splayed out all over the place, ect. But alas...at the end of the day I got to eat my first few container grown baby Cucumber 'Cucino'. How yummy!! Just like the info stated the skins are VERY thin and no need to peel :)) |

| My plants are slowly growing. Planted over 100 at a friends and they have lots of Roma tomato's on them. Harvested my first Sun Golds out of my garden. These I risked it and planted the last week in April with a Milk Jug Cloche over them. Some tomato's do not polinate fruit if it gets too hot. We are in great need of a steady rain here so mine are at a stand still for a bit. ML |
