| Hi everyone,
I'm getting a headstart on what I'll be winter sowing this year! Yesterday and today I got envelopes from two generous traders and here is what I got. Yesterday's envelope:
Today was two regular envelopes just full of marigold and morning glory seeds! Lots and lots of fun! Brad AKA Moonwolf |

| Hi Brad, I was out at the Bronx Zoo today and visited their butterfly garden outside of the butterfly building. They have a lovely garden loaded with butterfly attractors including Baptisia--ahh, their pods were grey and crumbly and cracking everywhere, spilling their seeds on the pathways. What was I to do except rescue a few of them and place them safely in my pocket to take home and be sown and grown in a loving and caring environment. |

| Same here--several trades have arrived, my baptisia seedpods are turning black, and I've harvested lupine, columbine, globeflower, dianthus, Maltese cross, perennial flax, feverfew & rose campion seeds so far. The tall phlox are blooming so I'll keep my eye out for seedpods on those in a few weeks. A few gaillardia seedheads on my WS plants have turned gray and the seeds fall out when touched so that says ripe to me! Not 100% sure because I've never grown them before so if I trade any I'll make that disclosure. trudi - that was SO selfless of you to save those baptisia seeds from a sproutless future! If you find yourself with too few sprouts, give me a shout--I have 5 mature baptisia in my garden loaded with seedpods and should have plenty to spare. |
