RE: Stock Up

I just did that today. I bought a compressed bale of ProMix BX. I started some coleus cuttings today. I'll have lots of potting mix on hand for wintersowing season.

RE: Stock Up

FYI if you have a Menards nearby and they stock the pro-mix... it is on sale "for a limited time" whatever that means :) They just started carrying the cheaper compressed bales around here last year and I was so happy since I couldn't find it for awhile.

Now I'm trying to decide if I should get some more since it is on sale... even though I still have about 1.5 bales left over. Every year I think I have more than enough because I'm "not going to do as many containers this year". Then I end up scrambling to find more potting mix in the spring when the stores aren't stocked yet.

RE: Stock Up

Thanks, molanic, for the link. I was able to find a nearby Menards with the 2cu ft. compressed bales on sale for $9.99. We stopped tonight and got 3 bales. That should do me for a year or two.
