Does Salvia 'Fairy Queen' need Cold Stratification?

Hello!

I have a packet of Salvia Farinacea 'Fairy Queen' that I purchased from Park Seed earlier this year. I wasn't aware that some Salvia seeds required cold-strat until recently. Does Fairy Queen fall under this category? I live in Southern California and wondering when it is the best time to winter-sow them in these parts.

According to Clothier's database, Salvia farinacea does not require cold stratification. The only salvia type on the database that appears to require a cold period is Salvia ringens.
