Banana Cream Leucanthemum

I bought a Banana Cream Leucanthemum this spring and let the flowers go to seed, let them dry out. Today when I looked for the seed I was not sure if the pods had any. Anyone have any experience with them?

RE: Shasta daisy Banana Cream

I bought Banana Cream Shasta daisy last year, moved it to a different bed this year and it bloomed nicely altho' there weren't a ton of flowers. I checked the spent blooms and harvested the seeds but none that I summer sowed have germinated. I'm no expert but I'm guessing it's a sterile hybrid like 'Broadway Lights' which is another pale yellow Shasta. If that's the case, the only way to get more is either buying them or by division or perhaps cuttings.

While they are gorgeous in bloom, I'm still on the fence about whether or not they're worth the effort/cost. My beds are filling up fast with other readily-available/more-dependable/longer-blooming WS perennials.

Thanks for your input, I think you are right on them being sterile and I was surprised that they turned white after awhile.
