gorgeous! Do you think it will stay short or is it the variety that will get tall?

Amazing that it flowered the first year!

It's in only morning sun, which might limit the height. Or it might be taller in it's second year.

So pretty! Mine grew about 14" tall this year but it's still in a container so I didn't expect it would bloom until next year at the earliest. I shovel pruned all my monarda/bee balm & agastache Golden Jubiliee that grew 5-6 ft. tall and as wide so there's a whole lotta full sun real estate where I can plant the helenium next year.

Mine was short lived. it grew tall and its feet were very weedy. Do I still love it? Oh yes. Yours are beautiful and have nicer legs!

I'm wintersowing more this year with my 'ho seeds.

Yeah, I've found in the past that most "perennials" that bloom the first year tend to be short lived.

Mine might be weedy looking next year if they do indeed come back.

One of my favourite perennials. Yes, it does flower its first year and it will grow much taller the second, maybe 5 feet. I had to move some of mine the second year, and mine are all grown as 'fence' perennials. Mine have been growing quite some time, from 2006 the first year I started winter sowing. They love lots of water and this year, because it was so dry, the plants with limited water were not as floriferous as usual. They make great cut flowers. They make a great combination with your coleus. Very pretty, colourful grouping.
