Ruth, sowing camellia is about the same as for rhododendron and azalea. The seeds need humidity, warmth, and are sown on a loose acidic medium like one containing peat or milled sphagnum moss then barely covered. That doesn't make them a prime candidate for winter sowing, but of course if you have seed to spare it wouldn't hurt to try if you keep your expectations low...

and so you don't have to look it up, 25 degrees Celsius equals 77 degrees Fahrenheit ;) Also, this is one case where if you aren't going to sow right away, you may want to refrigerate the seeds dry, keep them cool.
