ARBOR DAY10 Trees Landscape Designers Love
In honor of Arbor Day, consider adding a beautiful and beneficial tree species favored by designers around the country
Full StoryHi - I collected hophornbeam seeds (Ostrya virginiana) on a recent trip to northern Michigan and seeds of the American beech (Fagus grandiflora) this morning. I have not had any luck with either in the past. Can you give me some advice on what worked for you? I know that hophornbeam needs a period of warm and cold stratification. What about the beech seeds? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
