Are you going to host a seed exchange this year?

Thanks,

Neil

RE: Paging Tom?

Not this year. I think someone has already stepped up and offered. I might join in, but I can't host.

Long story short, the house is for sale. I've got a promotion at work, and I'm trying to get to know someone special. :)

I will only sow 50 containers this year too.

RE: Paging Tom?

Thanks. I have a feeling I'll be the one doing the yard work while he cleans the house. As long as the promised sweet tea is delivered on time, we'll get along fine.

Now who was it that agreed to host this one? I know someone did.

RE: Paging Tom?

I have been sitting in the background watching this post. I knew that Tom you were probably not going to host a swap. I hated that I missed out on the swap last year, but I believe we all have lifes unexpected mishaps to mess with our hopes or plans.

With all that said I have been thinking about this even before Neil posted this, I was kinda looking forward to the swap even though it is not like I really need anymore seeds. Though I have plenty of time on my hands, and it brings a smile to my face learning about new plants.

I would be more than happy to host a swap if someone directs me as we do it on how it should go. I do not want to step on anyones toes here. If someone else was planning on hosting it please step up. If no one wants to do it I would be more than happy to do it. I have quite a bit of seeds that I would love to contribute that I actually was thinking about doing another huge sasbe offer.

Let me know what you guys think. If you all are comfortable with me hosting it I will step up and take it by the reigns. I first want to make sure you all are comfortable with that and I also do not want to take it from someone if they were looking forward to doing it. I will let ya be the judge. Just know I am willing!!

RE: Paging Tom?

Hosting the swap was a lot of fun. I found a lot of cool plants, even the ones I didn't keep to sow myself. It's a terrible temptation to be surrounded by 20 packs of seeds from 62 participants. It's hard to let go of a single pack.

RE: Paging Tom?

Well I will be honest I have no business obtaining anymore seeds. I am thinking on the other hand, hmmm this will give me some great ideas for what I can sow the following year, LOL.

Then again I may be so overwhelmed that I just toss them with their appropriate packages and just get it done. Though I know me I will probably look through some. Just for ideas.

It is up to you guys, I know I am fairly new to winter sowing and this forum. I know very few have ever traded with me period on gardenweb. So it is not like I have built up that trust factor yet. It was just something I was thinking about offering though if you guys would rather someone else do it or skip it till you can get back to it, Tom. Believe me it would not hurt my feelings one bit. I just wanted to put the offer out there.
