Did anyone Sow Senstive Plant Mimosa?

My dh saw this plant last year and liked it so I thought I would sow some for him this year and so I traded for some seeds out of 2 half gallons I only got 1 single plant to germinate. Ok so this plant stayed so LITTLE. So I saw a plug of it at a local greenhouse and so I bought it. Tansplanted it and it gre big not really big but big enough. While my ws one is still little.

So this is where my question comes in since the greenhouse bought on is now producing seeds if it is really worth ws it again or just buy the plug again next year. I am in Indiana zone 5 if that matters at all.

So how did yours turn out. Thanks

Paula

Are you talking about Mimosa pudica, the sensitive pant that folds its leaves when you touch them? They're a tropical weed and need really warm temps to germinate. WSing might not be the best way of sowing them. They will fold their leaves up if the temps get too low too. They don't like the cold.

I played with those plants back when I was 10 or even younger. We call them Makahiya. :) Makahiya means shy. It was everywhere.
