Have you checked out the trees to see if they have any seeds still hanging on them? That way you could just collect your own seeds! I will check out some near me and let you know if I can find any. Joann

cAROL --Your seeds are going to be in the mail today. I did look up Amur Maple in my "Growing Trees From Seed" book and it says they need 90 days of cold moist stratification which means you can just sow them in a milk jug or something starting in Jan. It does say the seedlings are enjoyed by wildlife so make sure your container has a top of some kind. Good luck! Joann

Thank you Joann, I just asked this very question on a different topic,I was affraid I was going to need 45 days of warm, moist weather, which we do not have left here in Illinois. You just made my day, aren't these trees beautiful in the fall.Oops, I spelled Amur ( Armour ) wrong, not my strong suit. Sorry. cAROL

They are very beautiful! I especially love that the samaras that form after the flowers are deep pink rosy colored and hang on that way for a long time before they turn brown! It's a lovely little tree. Joann
