Hi,
I haven't been here in so long the computer forgot me, lol and I had to get a new sign-in, I was ellenr, now ellenrr.

Want to say hi, I have some beautiful pics I will post as soon as I find someone to show me how.

I was so pleased with the things I got in trade, esp the Rudbeckias in various colors, and the diathus.
Oh the diathus - beautiful lilac. Before it bloomed, I gave 2 of the 3 to a friend bec. I thot I didn't like dianthus.
urg.
So I took some seeds and hope it comes true next year.

Pink salvia were still gorgeous yesterday, also the blue salvia I sowed along with the blue that returned from last year.
WS'ed marigold was great until the bleeping groundhog ate every single bloom.
Straw flower (not WS'ed) and the Gaillardia that comes up by itself every year also look fantastic.
My garden looked better than it did all summer.
I'm glad I saw it yesterday cuz I'm sure the temps last night wiped it out.

Nice to "see" you all, hope your summer was great.

ellen

RE: Hi all I'm back

thanks, y'all.
good to be remembered.
to anwer your question, v1, no I didn't host a swap-
It was early in the season and I wanted to plant some perenniels and had no seeds, so I asked if anyone had any extra - well someone sent me a LOT!
I don't really do that much WS'ing, just about 20 containers, ...
um...ok, maybe 30 or 35 :)

so i re-packed and sent off the extra seeds, but the ones I kept were things I would never have tried, and it was exciting- so if anyone else is stodgy like me and keeps to the tried and true, go ahead - experiment!

thanks for the link to post pics. Mine are from the "old-fashioned" 35mm, not digital. I have them on a CD, it is not hard to post them, I just have to have my friend guide me thru it.
Not to worry I'll get them up.

thanks, y'all,be well.
