25% off at T&M seeds sale

Just got an email from T&M about their 25% off sale..big deal!
Their seed prices are over priced to begin with..offer me 50% off and I'll order from them. They had a good sale over the summer but you'd think they would offer more of a discount to get rid of this year's seeds. No Thank You, T&M.

My first thought when I saw the title of this thread was, big deal. I've never ordered from them but haven't heard anything good about them that would make me even access their website. There are better places to order seeds with good prices and without outrageous S&H. In fact, there's a thread about best places to order seeds. T&M doesn't get top billing on that one either.

Not to mention I've already got 52 seed types saved & ready to WS.

Talk about organization! You're amazing! Why don't you do like Mrs. T and Sample seeds and sell for $1 a pkt.? How did you manage to save that many containers like that, the same size or were you able to buy them wholesale somewhere? We only buy prepared food from the deli once in a while but in only 8 oz. size and I try to save them, but Hubby fusses so, I really don't have room to store them. They do come in handy for leftovers, and I like the fact that you can see through them, so they don't get pushed back in refrigerator as easily as containers with red, black, blue or purple lids. What's that about 16 oz. size? Thanks for sharing the photo with us. Gives us all ideas. Would they be deep enough to wintersow in them?

Looks are deceiving - those are 2 oz. salad dressing cups. The cafeteria manager where I work gave me as many as I wanted last year when I told her about winter sowing and saving seeds. She thought it was a cool idea. I tried to buy them from her but she refused and told me to take whatever I needed. I like the fact they're easy to write on and when empty are easy to stack & shove in a corner of the cupboard out of the way until seed harvesting time rolls around again.

I just trade seeds for the time being. I'm still hoping to fill the beds on my little green acre.

Well there is no way I am posting a picture of what I have collected to winter sow. I have some in the fridge some in the freezer some in a corner of my kitchen in a big bubble mailer. Some outside that I already sowed. Lol, I feel like a slob when I see how well organized you are gardenweed.

I browse t&m and that is it!!!

The seed containers are hiding the mess in my kitchen and I'm not as organized as you think. I wouldn't dare post a picture of my kitchen table. It's covered with plastic shoeboxes full of commercial seed packs, recycled plant labels banded together alphabetically, leftover seed cups from last fall, bubble envelopes, bubble wrap, sheets of address labels and various & sundry other bits & pieces. A macro lens is a wonderful thing--keeps those pesky, messy details out of camera range.

I'm gradually separating seeds by which ones need cold stratification and which don't so I can get the cold strat seeds WS first. Last year--my first to WS--I just filled milk jug after milk jug with whatever seeds I could get my hands on. Went just a little over the top with 486 jugs by the time May 1 rolled around. This time I hope to just sow multiple jugs of the things I want lots of like blackberry lily, lupine, lady's mantle, penstemon, tall phlox & Russian sage.

I looked at the T&M site, they currently have a flower-seed grab bag on sale. Ten types of ten bucks--not too shabby.

Here is a link that might be useful: On sale grab bag

I don't see anywhere on their site that seeds are 25% off.

Karen - it's 25% off sitewide; the discount will be deducted in your shopping cart.

I'm going to look - not buy, just look. Or maybe I'll just look at the catalog - their pictures are really pretty. ; )

To get the 25% off on your order you have to have the code number that came with the e-mail.

I just spoke with TM seeds on the phone and they told me that the e-mails are sent randomly to people that have ordered from them in the past and not all will get the e-mail.
They also told me that it is an internet only special of 25% off all seeds and if you order on the phone or by mail, you won't get the 25% off on the seed price.

I forgot to add that the woman told me that if you know someone that received the email with the code number and they give it to you, you can use their code number to get the 25% off on the seeds.
