Already thinking about Solstice Sowing

| I ordered seeds of Lion's Mane to sow as my Leap of Faith. In the spring of this year, I bought a plant from T's and although it grew and grew, I never saw it bloom before the frost got it. So I decided this winter I will sow it myself and see what happens.
Are you thinking about or planning your solstice sowing yet? Tell us your plans!

My Leap of Faith will be Pride of Barbados. My Seeds of Life have already been sown. I have one persimmon collected from the state park. It needs warm/cold/warm. Tree Seeds: Crape myrtles. Already sown too. No seeds of remembrance yet. May do something the lady who built this house would like.

Token, I collected some wild persimmon as well - thought it was neat to see this tree just hanging out in the middle of a field. Perhaps I will start some now as well - I was trying to cut down the amount of new sowings until after I move to a more permanent location, but, well, that may not happen. LOL

I am very much looking forward to Solstice Sowing. I really have to start thinking of what I want to sow. We had a dear family member and another very good friend pass away this Summer so I need to plant something extra special for remembrance. I plan to sow enough to share with their families too. OT, the day both people passed away I collected seeds for a memory garden for each of them, also will be sowing enough so each family can have a memory garden of their own.

I don't have my seeds chosen for the Solstice sowing yet, but with the advent of darkness after work now, I'm sure looking forward to the solstice so the daylight gets longer!

Me, too. Worst thing about winter is the short days/looong nights. Well, OK, I'm not wild about freezing to death, either. But I always look forward to longer days. Karen
