Seed catalog alert...

Heads up all you seed addicts!!! I just saw a post on the cottage garden forum about how seed catalogs are beginning to arrive in folks' mailboxes now, weeks earlier than usual (she says, rubbing hands together in gleeful anticipation). They were all commenting about how they don't normally see them until January. While I'm not naive enough to attribute the early mailings to the popularity of winter sowing just yet, it can only help folks who really WANT to start sowing seeds but the stores don't put the seed racks out until after the holidays. The job lots store near me put them out mid-January last year but I didn't see them anywhere else until much later.

[I think I'll be okay after posting this. Only a few of you know where I live.]

I applaud the early companies! How they change the dark days of winter- now even in November. Way to go!
