Winter Sowing in socal

Since we don't have winter here, my WS annuals, snapdragons, calendula, lettuce, poppies, delphiniums, are already germinating! I hope to get them in the ground next month if possible! Very exciting!

Last year, my first year, I got started late February and the heat hit by June and fried all my cool weather stuff, so this year, I am starting much earlier. I figure the hot weather stuff will not come up until spring, but at least the jugs are out there and ready to go! I hope to have way too many plants and have a plant sale in my driveway for all of the extras. FUN!

Yes, you have to plan for your coolest season, such as it is!

You caught on quickly! Some people just keep trying to do it the way they did in another part of the country, and get so frustrated that they give up.

Good work!
