Had to share my miscanthus adagio. It's really impressive this year. Looks even better "live".

Lovely, do you have any extra seeds? I am really into ornamental grasses. Your whole collection is beautiful, thanks for sharing

Very pretty specimen! I loved M. sinensis Adagio and bought 2 large expensive pot years ago when I started gardening at this house. Planted them in the front garden (which was just starting) and they did great. Well, they were dead as a doornail the next Spring. Turns out they had been planted in a fairly harsh exposed location and they are NOT zone 5 hardy. :(

How are you guys seeing "the whole collection"? Duane, the miscanthus is very beautiful. How large is it?

Linda, when I click on his photo it takes me to his photobucket account and I can see all 19 photos by clicking on "next" or "previous".

Very nice grasses, Duane. I have been considering adding some imperata cylindrical (japanese blood grass) to my garden. Did you ws yours? What is the red flowering plant next to it on the right?

RE: fall/winter show

mnwsgal---the red flowering plant is -- cal. poppy 'thai silk fire bush' I quit growing it because it reseeded like crazy here. It was very pretty, though. It may be better behaved where you are. I may have some seed left somewhere if you are interested.
I didn't WS jap. blood grass. I bought a small plug. It spreads a little here, but not bad.
In fact, most of the grasses I bought as a small plug a few years ago from Santa Rosa. They are on sale every fall.

If you click on "duane456's album", then click on "view duane456's profile", then click on "290 uploads"----you can see alot more pics.
enjoy--Duane

Thanks, Duane, I have some Thai Silk Fire Bush seed that I haven't planted. While I grow other poppies I've never had much luck with CA poppy. They grow well for others here and do reseed some. I think I will try them again.

I enjoyed watching the slideshows of each of your subalbums.
You grow many of my favorite plants, including brugs, and dahlias.

I have visited OR and was amazed at how lush and huge the same plants grow there compared to MN Z:4.
