We had about 12 inches of snow yesterday, woke up to this scene out of the backyard.

Hey Silverkelt, I'm glad that foot of snow is up where you live and not here in eastern Mass! It's beautiful, but I hate dealing with snow removal...

Beautiful! I was just up there visiting my sister in Orono. I wondered how much snow they'd gotten. Thanks for sharing!

Very beautiful... We only got about 4 inches. I have snow envy, LOL.

We got a couple inches here -- a couple inches too many. Just not into snow anymore, although it can look pretty.

We are having a snowy last day of the year too, and I'd thought it was supposed to be dry and cold until Thursday. This is our third snow for December when some years we get none at all. I had to drive 120 miles to take my mother to the doctor (then back again) in the first one, 100 miles to my sisters Christmas morning in the second...today I have no place I have to be and can just watch it fall while warm and dry.

I have one of this years fawns sleeping on my lawn with snow falling on it, and his more experienced Mom laying nearby under a rhododendron :)

No, greylady, that's Velvet, our pigeon-toed Great Dane :) She does look a little like a greyhound in the photo, but she's a lot beefier -- and she's not fast enough to catch the pesky rabbit in our yard, though she does try.

wow, caryl, she does a great impression of a grey!

a couple of my greys would have definitely taken care of that bunny, but I did have one that was relaxing in the sun one day and was totally oblivious when a baby bunny slowly hopped by within a couple of feet of her! :-)

Can't blame her for enjoying the sun -- Velvet loves it too, must be the short hair.

I have mixed feelings about the bunny, which I've caught in the veggie garden a few times. I don't want carnage, but I do want it gone. Mine always spot it too late, and if it makes it to the bushes they go nuts trying to find it. As long as they run it off, that's fine. Wasn't too happy to see a pair of bunnies, and then later a baby in the yard. I might have to import a grey to take care of them. :)
