| It's freaking fridgid outside this morning and you can feel it coming through the windows. Time to put up the heavy curtains :-(
The bag of soil I bought the other day I left on the porch, it's rock solid--I'll have to bring it inside. Sigh. I've found my 'Leap of Faith' seeds, I cleaned out a few drawers and found seeds inside some leftover materials from classes I've taught. T |

| I have been walking around inside layered for the last several days!! I even have on my thermals, I have on 3 shirts, 2 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of pants, and a huge warm robe over all of that!! Our temps are suppose to get above freezing today so I am looking forward to that. By the end of the week it is suppose to be back in the mid 40's. I never thought I would be so happy to see mid 40's F. I hate cold weather!! I still haven't figured out a good one for leap of faith, hmmm I guess I better start to figuring. |

| 39F and raining here, about typical and I can't complain about typical :) Better than the 20F we had a month ago. Trudi, leap of faith because they are older then? At the holiday rate I'm going, I may be placing a seed order to mark the solstice, I could do that nekkid and still dance :)...still packages to wrap and letters to write, better if I don't take over what has been a busy kitchen with dirt, pots. With those heavy curtains you are going to put up, you'd miss the hummingbirds I've got feeding every morning - before daylight. "We'll leave the light on for ya" |

| morz8 - I'll trade you my bright sunshine, clear blue skies & balmy (23F) breeze for your 39F & rain. Can't afford to leave the light on for ya with the cost of heating oil! |

| I think the seeds I found in the class kits are at least six or seven years old--among them a pack of Super Beefsteak OP from 2004. I've been going through the seed drawers and updating lists of what's packed and what's not packed, what's needed and what plentiful. Finally found the space to better organize the bulk veggies and herbs. |

| You'll have to let us know what kind of germination you get with those tomatoes. I saved a few from a black krim I bought to eat and will sow those later.... gardenweed, my PUD bill came today (!) and after last months cold, I can't really afford it either but I'm leaving 4 carport flood lights on since I realized three hummers are having breakfast before 7 AM - and it's not light for another 30-40 minutes. Partly for them :), partly for me so I can see and enjoy them. Wish they had flown south but since they are here, I'm trying to keep them fed. |

| LOL, would it be considered a leap of faith if you knew that it would reseed even if it wasn't hardy in your area?? Am I looking to cheat!! No No I would never do that, hee hee. |
