Sweet Pea - WS preparation....

Hi,

I am new to winter sowing, and am wondering if I should pre-soak and inoculate sweet peas or any beans like green bean or edible peas before winter sowing? I do know they don't really like being transplanted, so I am wondering if I should winter sow these at all? Can't get this planting bug out of me...

You do not have to presoak anything before winter sowing.

They are so easy to direct sow in the spring, but this year I planted mine very late, they came up, just not that many blooms. Green for the longest time. This was my first year trying them, I did the High Scent. Even though there were only a few blooms, I could smell them from far away. So intoxicating. I like the idea of WS to give them a start, then transplant where I want them. I just worry about the roots not handling the move... And I wonder if I inoculate them if it will make a difference? My package expires at the end of this month, I thought I could sneak it in there....
