organicislandfarmer(9)Updated You haven't missed the ideal planting time for your zone. Your plants will be fine, heck my basil, parsley, rosemary, oregano, thyme, mint and chives are doing fine, the only one that is hating the heat is the dill!

morz8(Washington Coast Z8b)Updated First, you would have much the same slight possibility of growing olive trees for fruit in your climate as I would in mine...they would be more likely to produce a harvestable crop if container grown and moved to an unheated green...
