Any idea what kind of philodendron this is?

Not an actual philodendron, but a close cousin of sorts...what you have there is an epipremnum, aka pothos. Lots of info on the web including recently here as well...

Here is a link that might be useful: here's one now! :)

No offense, but i disagree. Notice the new leaf forming on the lead stem. I dont know much, but im pretty sure this is not a pothos. I was actually convinced it was a pothos when i was given this cutting, but now i believe the person who gave it to me that it is in fact a philodendron.

RE: Plant ID

Sorry, I also think it' a Pothos, the leaf shape doesn't seem right for Philo.

RE: Plant ID

It does look like a pothos, but at the same time the leaf seems to have too much texture? All the pothos I've seen have smooth leaves. I'm no expert, just wanted to state my observations.

RE: Plant ID

Is there a groove in the petiole or is it round w/o a groove in it? the angle of the shot doesn't give a clear view.

RE: Plant ID

I vote Pothos (Epipremnum.) From the leaf shape and aerial root nub especially.

Indeed! Good point Purp! :)

Speaking of which,it looks like an ideal candidate to train up something immediately. If a stake or something were put directly within reach of that root and said root were to anchor itself to it,the next upcoming leaves should gradually become larger and larger. :)

I vote pothos, pirate_girl,asleep_in_the_garden,and purpleinopp made some exellent points. And besides, I know a pothos when I see one. I wonder if it is the species or a variegated that neds more light. It looks very healthy

RE: Plant ID

Well i cant argue with that! Haha pothos it is. Check out my new post for another philo/potho controversy.

RE: Plant ID

Doe look like what you guys call Pothos (i.e. Epipremnum) to me.

RE: Plant ID

It looks like a non variegated pothos. Sometimes it's referred to as a Jade Pothos.

Larry

PS: just because the newest leaf doesn't look quite right doesn't mean that it's not a pothos. The other leaves definitely fit the description.
