I hope everything goes well for you. My DH had his aortic valve replaced a year ago, and he feels like a new man. He could tell when he woke up in recovery, and could completely oxygenate his blood, like a 20 year old, that things had been bad for a while.
He went from looking "gray" for about three years prior to having roses in his cheeks again.
He's 57, and we expect to have a pretty good run at things now.
Don't be afraid Annette. Miracles happen every day. My thoughts are with you.

You certainly have my prayers. My Mom was recently diagnosed with heart problems and was told by the surgeon that she needed several procedures. Her cardiologist disagreed and said she's responding well to medication. My sister & I did some research about mitral valve replacement surgeries. Please read the following links and see if anyone in your area that does this procedure. It cuts down on recovery time. There are minimal restrictions after the surgery (you'd still be able to drive & lift more them 10 lbs.)

You're definitely on my prayer list Annette, I've been doing a lot of praying lately, especially to St Jude. Prayer is so powerful, I have been prayed for over the past year and a half, and it amazes me how those prayers have been answered.

Keep your faith and trust in your God strong and never give in to fear. Just smile, knowing you are in His loving hands. It really worked for me.

ohhh moonphase i will also be praying for you!! i've been praying for alot of people in my family needing help, and GOD has definately answered every one of them so far!! my dad came thru his heart surgery great! my brother has mrsa and so far is cleaned up, now we just have to find out if he is clear, but we have to wait 2 weeks, my neice was pregnant and had really high blood pressure, well they had to take the baby but we were all worried cuz she might of lost him if she couldn't wait a bit more, everything turned out great!! now we're waiting on suni to get better, she has thyroid cancer and is not getting better :'(( she's my neighbor and i love her to pieces, i will be praying, so will my kiddo's, many, many hugs, Medo

Thanks lblack...I hadn't noticed it. So many people having to face some sort of medical intervention lately...moonphase...hope you are able to find the specialist you need and get a good plan on what to do soon.
